Over the last year we have stayed in Paris three times and in three different hotels; all of them roughly in the same area. Our last hotel was the Sorbonne. Given the name I expected it to be near to the university but I did not expect it to be diagonally opposite the main entrance. A lovely location and area, lively, cool and sophisticated. The hotel is elegant and the staff very welcoming and accommodating. Highly, highly recommended. Over the last few months I have been revising my long rusty and mostly forgotten Russian. As parts of the building that house the hotel are also used by the university I am thinking of dropping into conversations, “When I was reading Russian at the Sorbonne...”

Cozy, quiet hotel with friendly service

My husband and I just returned from staying at this hotel for 3 weeks in July. What a gem! We booked it originally because I studied at the Alliance Française during that time, and it's within walking distance. Now we would return there even if I wasn't taking classes. It's clean, comfortable and quiet - which is great because it's in a huge tourist area with many amenities close by. And the staff was so warm, friendly and helpful. We upgraded to a superior room and it was well worth the price. The staff spoke perfect English, but they were kind enough to speak French to me to help me practice. We highly recommend this boutique hotel!

Really lovely experience - from the excellent and friendly staff who were so helpful in arranging for transport to/from the hotel, happily answering all our questions, to the great location! Hope we have the chance to return!
